Baduanjin (the Eight Pieces of Brocade)
(Ages 50+) A traditional Chinese Qigong practice that combines slow, flowing movements with mindful breathing. Often considered one of the easiest forms of Tai Chi to learn, this beginner-friendly practice features just eight simple movements designed to promote overall well-being. Regular practice may help improve balance, flexibility, strength, posture, breathing, and relaxation while reducing stress. Suitable for most adults, this low-impact class is a wonderful way to increase mobility and mindfulness in a comfortable, supportive environment. No prior Tai Chi or Qigong experience is necessary. Taught by Hilary Sproule, retired physical therapist and professor.
