Body Spot Silver (ages 50+)50+ Fitness(Ages 50+) This total body workout includes: cardiovascular, floor exercises, weight training and yoga pilates. Students work at their own level and pace. Body Spot Silver is designed to strengthen the heart and lungs, tone and increase body strength, and improve flexibility and stability. Bring a set of hand weights and an exercise mat. Hiking Club (Senior Center 50+)50+ FitnessJoin our Hiking Club! Planned group hikes to take place in and around Livingston County to help us get out on the trail in a safe and fun way! Currently hiking on Wednesdays at 9:30am. Meet at location between 9:15-9:30am. Additional days and times may be added as seasons change or activity specific days are scheduled. Meet-up details, location, trail length and additional details will be emailed the day before each hike. Please confirm your participation so we know who to expect. Hikes start promptly so please arrive on time This club is free to participate but Metroparks, State Parks and County Parks have entrance fees. It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Indoor Drop-In Pickleball - Master Contact List Registration50+ FitnessThis registration is for our Indoor Drop-In Pickleball Master Contact List ONLY. By registering, you will be added to our pickleball communication list to receive updates regarding court times, schedule changes, cancellations, and special events. Important:This registration does not reserve court time and does not include payment. Indoor Drop-In Pickleball is available to Brighton Senior Center members only at a rate of $5 per hour, payable at the Member Services Desk at the time of play. Enjoy fast-paced fun on our indoor pickleball courts, located inside the Brighton Senior Center! Players of varying skill levels are welcome. Drop-In Guidelines: Players may enter the court only at the beginning of the hour. Players must vacate the court promptly at the end of their hour session to allow the next group to begin on time. All participants must check in and pay at the Member Services Desk prior to play. Please observe all current USA Pickleball (USAP) rules of play. Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Players rotate fairly to ensure everyone has an opportunity to play. For questions regarding Drop-In Pickleball or court rental, please contact the Senior Center (810) 299-3817. Senior Center Annual Membership (2026/27)MembershipSTOP BY AND CHECK US OUT, YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED WITH WHAT YOU FIND! There are many activities and special events happening every day at the Brighton Senior Center. Drop in and play some euchre, bingo or Mahjong. Get fit in one of our numerous exercise classes. Learn something new. Do some shopping in our boutique store. Grab a cup of coffee (or tea), sit down, relax and make some new friends. The Brighton Senior Center, where active aging never gets old! The Brighton Senior Center is open to all individuals 50 years+, in and around Livingston County. We offer socialization, educational and exciting travel opportunities, information and assistance to those that need it, life enrichment and wellness classes, transportation, volunteer opportunities and much more. Annual Memberships are valid July 1st - June 30th of the current year (membership form must be completed annually). Amount will not be prorated during the year. If an individual joins in May or June as a brand new member, their membership fee will carry over through the next year. Strength for Life (Ages 50+)50+ Fitness(Ages 50+) Stay strong, active, and independent with this strength training class designed specifically for adults 50 and better. Using a combination of body weight, hand weights, and resistance bands, you'll build and maintain muscle in a safe, supportive environment. Learn how to properly build strength with correct form to avoid injury and protect your joints. Work at your own pace—every level is welcome! Taught by Brian Auquier from Doctors of Physical Therapy in Brighton. YOGA for Health & Wellness (ages 50+)50+ FitnessTuesdays: CHAIR YOGA: (Ages 50+) Join us for Yoga poses done in a chair that are appropriate for all fitness levels. Benefits include: Increased circulation to joints; increased muscle strength; body, heart & mind activation. No experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your water & smile! Taught by Diane Steeh Thursdays: BALANCE & MAT YOGA: (Ages 50+) In this class we will spend 10-15 minutes on balance moves and then 30 minutes of gentle mat work. If you need to use a chair for stability in the beginning that's fine, as we encourage you to work at your level. This practice will help develop a greater sense of stability. Benefits include: Increased circulation to joints; increased muscle strength; body, heart & mind activation. No experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your water & smile!
