Girls On the RunGirls On the Run Girls on the Run is a non-profit organization that envisions a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Our eight-week program for 3rd through 8th graders meets twice weekly for 90 minutes and runs mid-March through May. Our NEW lottery registration which also includes a NEW sliding scale registration fee, opens online in January. Lessons are led by trained volunteer coaches who guide and mentor the children through a brand NEW curriculum that focuses on life-long skills to improve emotional and physical health. The program culminates in a non-competitive Girls on the Run 5k event which gives the participants a chance to shine and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. Great Lakes League Alliance Fastpitch!B.A.R.C and Turnin2 Softball are now part of the Great Lakes League Alliance Fastpitch! The partnership opens a national network of instructional opportunities and membership benefits for athletes, coaches and parents. Each athlete becomes an AFFL Member upon registration. This membership is packed full of benefits - athlete insurance coverages, a video library and skill development drills by some of the best in softball, coaches practice plans, a collaborative coaches network and mentorship opportunities, and parents education resources! This membership lasts throughout your seasons and provides the tools families and coaches need to properly develop young softball players skills and confidence! REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 SPRING SEASON IS OPEN! Uniforms are not included in the registration cost: Uniform order information will be communicated at a later date. We do rely heavily upon parent volunteer coaches. We will provide coaches training resources, equipment and practice plans, and coordinate your fields and umpires. Games will consist of primarily coach pitch for 3 innings followed by a controlled kid pitch inning to allow pitchers and hitters to develop! The athletes will learn and reinforce the proper foundation of hitting, throwing and catching mechanics. They will learn the rules of the game and develop more advanced skills of different positions with a focus on FUN and confidence building. If you athlete has played two seasons of 8u or is an older 8 year old ready for the challenge, they can play up. 6-7 practices (one practice per week) 6 or more games (Depending on number of teams) 50 Ft. Hiking Club (Senior Center 50+)50+ FitnessJoin our Hiking Club! Planned group hikes to take place in and around Livingston County to help us get out on the trail in a safe and fun way! Currently hiking on Wednesdays at 9:30am. Meet at location between 9:15-9:30am. Additional days and times may be added as seasons change or activity specific days are scheduled. Meet-up details, location, trail length and additional details will be emailed the day before each hike. Please confirm your participation so we know who to expect. Hikes start promptly so please arrive on time This club is free to participate but Metroparks, State Parks and County Parks have entrance fees. It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Indoor Drop-In Pickleball - Master Contact List Registration50+ FitnessThis registration is for our Indoor Drop-In Pickleball Master Contact List ONLY. By registering, you will be added to our pickleball communication list to receive updates regarding court times, schedule changes, cancellations, and special events. Important:This registration does not reserve court time and does not include payment. Indoor Drop-In Pickleball is available to Brighton Senior Center members only at a rate of $5 per hour, payable at the Member Services Desk at the time of play. Enjoy fast-paced fun on our indoor pickleball courts, located inside the Brighton Senior Center! Players of varying skill levels are welcome. Drop-In Guidelines: Players may enter the court only at the beginning of the hour. Players must vacate the court promptly at the end of their hour session to allow the next group to begin on time. All participants must check in and pay at the Member Services Desk prior to play. Please observe all current USA Pickleball (USAP) rules of play. Good sportsmanship is expected at all times.
